Bath Marathon for Dementia UK

Hi all, on 18th August 2024 I will be attempting to run the Bath Two Tunnels Marathon in aid of Dementia UK and in memory of my Grandad, Brent Allen.

Sadly in October 2021 we lost my Grandad to his long battle with dementia. It was painful to see this awful disease slowly steal his memories and start to take away the essence of the incredible person he was. Growing up he was like my best mate, a true old school gent and role model who I will always look up to, so it will be an honour to complete my first marathon in his memory.

Dementia UK provides life changing care and support for families affected by all forms of Dementia. It is reported that 1 in 11 of over 65 year olds will experience some form of Dementia in their life times, with this number predicted to increase. By supporting Dementia UK no one will have to face Dementia alone.

This charity is very close to mine and my families hearts so I will be very grateful for any donations that will go to helping families dealing with dementia, no amount is too small!
