Bath Half Marathon for Cefn Fforest Miners' Hall

My Uncle Neil Thomas and I are running the Bath Half Marathon this year, on the 18th October 2023 to raise money for Cefn Fforest Miners' Welfare Hall in memory of my late grandfather Colin Thomas.

The restoration of the Miners' hall was extremely important to my grandfather, being a former miner and trade unionist, and he was a founding trustee of the charity. He was involved in the project until his death in 2022 but we want to continue his legacy and raise money in his name for the hall. The goal is to make the place a community hub for social, educational, recreational and cultural activities and having this will be beneficial to the village and surrounding areas.

All monies raised will be used towards the restoration of the old ‘reading room’ which we aim to use for educational purposes.
