Donation protected
Help us provide warmth, shelter and hope this winter
As winter approaches, so too does the harsh reality for many in our community who have nowhere safe and warm to sleep. The Bass Coast Winter Shelter, an initiative of the Interchurch Council of Phillip Island, is preparing to open its doors. But we need your help to make it happen.
With no government funding, this program is entirely community-driven. So, we’re calling on compassionate locals like you to help us support those experiencing homelessness across Bass Coast.
The Winter Shelter will transform church spaces in Cowes into safe, welcoming spaces that offer:
A warm evening meal
Dormitory-style accommodation
And most importantly, a place of care and human connection
This winter, we aim to provide up to 10 beds, three nights a week, throughout June, July and August. But we can’t do it without your support.
Your donation will help us cover the basic but essential costs of running the shelter - things like food, bedding, volunteer training and heating.
Every dollar will make a real difference.
