Bashar's Surviving Children
Donation protected
My name is Tharwat Awamleh. It is with a heavy heart that I ask for your support during this difficult time.
On December 3rd, 2021 our world lost one of the kindest souls and a true peacemaker, my beloved brother and friend Bashar Awamleh at 49 years old. He was killed in a tragic car accident on his way home in Memphis, Tennessee. He leaves behind his beloved children Laila (19) and Alex (15) Awamleh.
My brother was an immigrant from Jordan and dreamed of gaining a better life in his second home in the USA. Who could have imagined that things would turn out this way. I guess destiny had a different plan.
My brother provided for his children as a single dad, and his sudden and tragic death leaves them without this vital source of income. Now, they will struggle to meet current and future expenses. My niece, Laila, is a sophomore at the University of Memphis studying international business and the Korean language. My nephew, Alex, is a talented musician and software engineering enthusiast in his first year of high school.
With help from kind hearted friends and family like you, I’m setting up this page to raise some funds on his birthday today. While I know that nothing can make up for the loss of my brother's life, I hope to remove the extra financial burdens my niece and nephew are suffering in addition to the loss of their father. I know very well how hard this time can be since we lost our dad at the early age of 52.
I truly appreciate any donation from you, no matter what amount. Your kind gesture will bring a touch of warmth to me and my brother’s children and help them to go through the darkest moment in their lives.
Your support will greatly help Laila and Alex with education expenses and to hold a small memorial for their father in Memphis, Tennessee. These financial gifts will make life just a little more manageable while they are trying to reorient and process their lives without their loving father. Let’s show Laila and Alex an outpouring of love and support during the devastating grief following their dad’s sudden passing. Bashar’s children were his whole world and giving to them is a wonderful way to honor his memory. Our entire family is extremely grateful for your generosity, especially during this holiday season.
