Baseball Dugout Eagle Scout Project

Hello, my name is Jake. I am 16 years old and working towards my Eagle Scout Rank. My last requirement needed in order to achieve this rank is an Eagle Scout Project. I must lead this service project and it must benefit the community. I have decided to build baseball dugouts for the field behind Nissitissit Middle School. The current dugouts are just benches with a fence in the front, so I will be building the frames. The dugouts will be 36' x 8' x 8' with a roof decline of 1'.
With the funds I collect, I will buy materials for the dugout construction. The main materials I will be using include:
- Lumber as the main frame
- Concrete for the base
- Plywood for the walls
- Roofing shingles as a top
- Paint as finishing
I would like to get these funds raised before August of 2018, in order to begin building in the fall.
Your support would mean so much to me! It has been my main goal throughout my life to become an Eagle Scout just like my great grandfather. With your help, I can achieve my lifelong goal and feel proud to be an Eagle Scout!
