Although the Dominican Republic is the most baseball-obsessed country on earth, most kids there have never even seen a baseball card before.

 

I'd like to change that by stuffing my suitcases with baseball cards and baseball t-shirts and giving them away at sandlot fields across the North Coast.

 

I don't expect my Cards4theDR project to solve the world's problems. I just seek to create some smiles across cultures and share a hobby I have loved since childhood.

 

I would use funds to purchase shirts, baseball card supplies and cover extra luggage fees. Should I exceed my fundraising goal, I would buy new baseball equipment for youth leagues in the DR.
