Bart Tallis’s beautiful family

Bart Tallis was a giant among men. Over the past 10years he has dedicated his life to mentoring, role modelling, and speaking life into the lives of countless disadvantaged young men and women through his role in Youth Justice.
In his personal life he was a devoted husband to Tanya and dedicated father to his daughter Angelina, son Billy and niece Sylvia. Bart had a strong faith in God and continued to give him glory and thanks in all things.
In the midst of a defiant battle with cancer, he passed away suddenly on 18 August 2020, days after his 50th birthday.
The reach of his love and influence extended so broadly that his loss has reverberated through family, church and community. We are grateful for the time we knew Bart and our love, thoughts and prayers now turn to his family. The strength that Tanya has demonstrated, particularly during times Bart has been unwell, is a testament to her character and capability. Bart was so proud of his family, and spoke often of his love for them. He adored Angelina and spoke so warmly of her cheeky personality and their shenanigans together. He loved Sylvia as a daughter and cherished her strength and independence. Billy is a chip off the old block and Bart took so much pride in raising the honest young man that Billy is. Bart’s love for Tanya was obvious; unbreakable in their bond.
This fundraiser has been established for Tanya to support her in a small way toward funeral costs but also in ongoing support for the children, particularly Angelina.
There is no pressure to give. There are other ways to support this beautiful family.
