Bart and Seth are Adopting!

We are Bart and Seth! We have been trying to adopt for 3 years, and we just brought home a beautiful baby named Leo Charlie who seems to answer to Baby Leo, Leo Love, Charlie Boy and Charleo currently.

We had this adoption situation develop literally overnight a few weeks ago and had to fly to Florida in order to meet with him and his birth mom because he was already born. We had to wait for just under two weeks in Florida before we could travel back to Minnesota and are just starting to adjust to life with a newborn in the winter and loving him up so much.

We are very excited to have him, and we are hoping to start off parenting right. Because of our adoption journey, we have incurred quite a few expenses. Our adoption, in these times where there are fewer babies to be adopted and more adoptive parents, involved working with many adoption agencies across the country, each of which charged a fee for their services. It also included 3 heartbreaking fall-throughs of potential adoptions, an unplanned trip to and stay in Florida for 10 days, many trainings and classes on adoption and caring for infants, and adoption fees in Florida and Minnesota. Our adoption and most adoptions right now cost about 3-5x more than the medical costs of having a baby in the hospital.

We are hoping to recoup some of these costs to help pay for childcare! Can you help us?
