Help Barklay Get the Life-Changing Surgery He Deserves
Dear friends, family, and compassionate animal lovers,
We are reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits, asking for your help to give our beloved Barklay the life he deserves. Barklay, our gentle giant and cherished family member, needs a full hip replacement to regain his mobility and live without constant pain. This surgery is essential to ensure he can continue living the happy, active life he so deeply deserves. We now have a confirmed surgery date of June 18th, leaving us with just a short window to gather the funds needed for his procedure.
Why Barklay Needs Your Support
Barklay has been living with hip dysplasia since he was about a year old. We’ve managed his condition with medication and care, but in recent months, his situation has become far more severe. Recent X-rays show that his hip is almost completely out of the socket, with part of the bone chipped off. He’s in pain every day, and the medications that once helped now pose a serious risk to his organs if continued long term. Surgery is no longer optional, it’s urgent.
The Financial Challenge
Initially, we were told the surgery would be more affordable, but after further consultations, we learned the full cost will be around $17,000, not including the additional X-rays needed to fit the implant or follow-up appointments. We do have pet insurance with a $10,000 annual limit, but we’ve already used about $3,000 of that for diagnostics and consults, leaving us with a significant gap in funding. We plan to use CareCredit and Scratchpay where possible, but even with these resources, the total cost remains far beyond what we can manage alone.
How You Can Help
If you can donate, share this campaign, or even just send us some good thoughts, it would mean the world to our family. We’re also open to any advice or resources for financial assistance, grants, or interest-free loans that might help us bridge this gap. Every little bit helps us get closer to our goal and means the world to Barklay.
Thank You from the Bottom of Our Hearts
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for caring about Barklay. Your kindness and generosity can truly make a difference in his life. We are forever grateful for your support.
With love and gratitude,
Angela, David, and Barklay
