The COVID-19 outbreak has caused our business (along with many others) to struggle during this tough time. Luckily, we’re in a position to see this through and we’ll be around when it’s all over. For now, more importantly, we’re turning our focus to how we can help our local community and our team of 20+ part time dog walkers who are feeling this impact strongly.
Our philosophy at Bark Buildings has always been to care for one another like family. We put a lot of effort into finding not just the best pet care professionals, but the best people for our team. They’re passionate pet and animal lovers, they are parents and students, they pour their hearts out into their work, we’re so lucky to have them and we want to do everything we can to help them get through these tough times.
To do this, we’re putting together a sandwich prep program for the local homeless shelter (Hoboken Shelter) and compensating our dog walking team for donating their time. Bark Buildings will be matching the initial $1,000 in funds donated, but we’re aiming much higher so we need your help!
For every $2 you donate, Bark will assemble a sandwich for the Hoboken homeless shelter. Your donation will cover supplies and any remaining funds will be donated to our part time staff members making the sandwiches. Bark Buildings will be providing a safe space for assembly, as well as gloves, sanitizer, and additional disinfecting supplies for sandwich-making. Of course, we’ll keep you posted along the way through Facebook and Instagram !
