Bariatric wheelchair for an amazing dad
Donation protected
Hi my name is Freda and the lovely man you see in the picture is my dad Robert allcock . I would like it if you could spare a few minutes of your time to read about how special and lovely my pops is. And hopefully donate to this cause so I can get my dad out. my dad used to be a very outgoing man he loved nothing more than going out in his car just driving around all day, he was always an outdoors person loving trips to the beach to enjoy a nice fish and chips. Never a man to just sit at home all day! His passion was driving, particularly giving everyone lifts at anytime of the day, we even joked once that he should apply for a taxi licence because of how many times he would do it for anyone, and especially fishing, he liked nothing more than the peace and quiet next to a river or on a boat whenever he could get to one, but unfortunately in 2022 he fell and broke his leg he was bed bound for 6+ months and due to his height and weight it was never going to be easy learning how to walk again so unfortunately he found it a struggle even to reach the door of his room and his mobility never really got back to as good as it used to be. And his health, mindset and confidence deteriorated and his ability to walk got harder and harder each passing day. On the 11th of June my dad became very ill he lost a lot of blood and had several blood transfusions because of esophageal varices which are dangerously enlarged veins that had popped. so he had to undergo a procedure where they clipped and glued to prevent the bleeding any further also while they were treating him for this they also found out that he also has liver cirrhosis because of his eating habits and weight gain during this period of imobility when he broke his leg and could barely move from his bed so he took comfort through eating whilst recovering and unfortunately that's how he developed his liver cirrhosis. Unfortunately his liver is now too badly scarred after all of this and also a procedure to bypass blood flow from his liver that helped prolong his life, so he is now facing liver failure to which there may not be much time as we would like with him and he can't do much of anything right now, so this is the reason why I need the wheelchair so I can give him the best life that he has left so I can get him out of the house so he can experience all the things he used to enjoy,as he was such an outgoing person, he was never greedy to anyone and would give anything to anyone that needed it I just want to bring a little bit of life back to him while he's still here with us now if anyone can help to give him the best possible time he can have doing the activities he used to love by helping us get a specialist wheelchair for him so he can get outdoors again it would mean so much to me and my family it really really would please donate doesn't even matter if it's a pound or anything you can find it in your heart to spare thank you so very much. I hope everyone can donate and if you have seen this but can't donate please share on social media Facebook Twitter Instagram just so we can get this out here and get him out there to make an amazing persons last bit of time that much happier and let's raise the money for him
Thank you with all from the bottom of my heart Freda x
