Bare Necessities of NC Community Aid non-profit

Hi. My name is Kory Sanderlin. I am the Founder of Bare Necessities of NC. After being told on 12/6/2021 not to worry about paying December rent, because we had plenty of time and we were closed due to the flooring issues in the Kitchen, our landlords took out eviction papers on 12/14/2021, stating the reason was December rent not being paid. We go to court on 1/12/2022. They changed the locks on us on 12/14/2021 without a court ordered eviction and have said they won't accept payment for December rent. We can't access food that was bought by ourselves and donors to feed the community or any of our belongings. Everything in the building belongs to Bare Necessities. We have 3 yrs and 3 months left on our lease. We signed a 5 yr. lease.  On 12/9/2021 the property was sold and a deed was notarized, although it was not recorded with the Registrars of Deeds office until 12/20/2021. We have to pay for an attorney and find a new location for the soup kitchen and food pantry. We need the community and anyone who can to stand behind us right now.  If you can help,  donate please.  All we want to do is be able to help support and feed our community.
