I am Master Barber Jabari, founder and operator of Conscious Heads Barbershop & Salon, Conscious Heads Barbering Bootcamp, and the community outreach wing known as Healing Cuts Ministries.

Over the years, we’ve trained barbers, uplifted our people, and brought dignity to our community—one cut at a time. And now, I’m coming to you with a special mission for this holiday season.

So far this year, we’ve provided over 300 free haircuts across Baltimore—including 133 in just the past two weeks alone. But our work isn’t done yet.

We’re on a mission to reach 1,000 free haircuts by the end of December. That means we need to deliver 700 more cuts in just 8 weeks—about 90 a week—and we need your help to do it.

This campaign comes at a time when our community needs healing more than ever.

As we approach Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Kwanzaa, many families are struggling—not just with grooming, but with dignity, income, housing, and basic needs. With the present financial climate and rising economic pressures, something as simple as a fresh haircut can mean the world.

Healing Cuts Ministries steps into that gap—not only to restore confidence to our people through free grooming, but also to train the next generation of barbers, create jobs, and promote dignity through workforce development.

Each cut is a hands-on learning opportunity through ConsciousHeadz Barbering Bootcamp. Our cadets and instructors are healing the community while becoming workforce-ready professionals. It’s a two-for-one mission: restoring people and building careers.

Your donation helps us:

Fund stipends for barbering instructors and cadets

Cover supplies: clippers, razors, gloves, capes, chairs, and cleaning materials

Provide transportation to 6+ service sites across Baltimore each week

Upgrade the Bootcamp headquarters for in-house service

Our goal: $10,000

This will fund 8 weeks of community service and barbering development.

Stipends are distributed transparently:

50% supports lead organizing and instruction

12.5% each supports 4 field barbers (cadets & assistants)
