As some of you know, Mom, aka Barb, has been fighting brain cancer for the past year. Grade 4 Glioblastoma. She has fought very hard, been through surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. Unfortunately, the cancer is coming back, and they have stopped the chemo. Mom has always been amazing, loving, giving, and kind to everyone she knew. The number of “adopted kids” she incurred over the years alone speaks to the kind of woman she is. And she was always the kind of friend that would get up in the middle of the night to come help you if you ever called her. Like that country song “Find out who your friends are,” she was that person who would be there for her friends no matter what.

And God knows I can’t count the number of times this woman came to my rescue, and my siblings, and our kids…. They couldn’t give me enough space to tell you even a fraction of the stories of her rushing to the hospital for Jojo, driving to appointments, giving me sanity breaks by taking the kids when Jojo refused to sleep for days; the list goes on and on.

Over the last year, she has been unable to do the two things she loves the most: travel to see friends and family, and work music festivals. While her days of working have ended, bills have been increasing drastically.

While she would never ask for it, she needs our help now.
