My name is Bara’a, a 14-year-old Palestinian child from northern Gaza.
I used to live with my elderly parents and siblings in a house full of warmth and memories. Our life was simple, yet beautiful. But on October 7th, everything was shattered. In one moment, we lost my sister, her husband, and their children under the rubble of the bombing. Soon after, we lost our home – the only place that ever sheltered us.
Since that day, we have been endlessly displaced, moving from tent to tent, from one place to another, searching for safety we never find. The war has turned our lives into a nightmare, and the siege is slowly killing us. Food is almost nonexistent, clean water is rarer than gold, and the medicine my elderly parents desperately need is either unavailable or costs more than we could ever afford. Even the simplest things we once took for granted have become an impossible dream.
Every day, we struggle just to find a piece of bread to keep us alive, and every night we go to sleep hungry, thirsty, and afraid of what tomorrow will bring.
I am only a child, yet this war has stolen my childhood, stolen our lives.
Please… help me and my family. Hunger, cold, and illness surround us from every side. Save us before we lose the last breath we have left.
