Hi,
Ramadan is not just a month of intimate fasting, it is a month where we remember those who are underprivileged and function without 3 meals a day, it is a month where we reminisce about how lucky we are to be able to eat multiple meals, drink fresh water, a warm roof over our heads and have the opportunity to follow our dreams, the freedom and choices available to us.
In 2018 ( I was 16 ) I earned my first payslip of £100; I held onto this with my life as it is a lot of money for that age; it was my first visit to Bangladesh which opened my eyes to charity, I was broken after witnessing the living conditions, the starvation, little dolls approaching me asking me for the tiny bit of coke I had left in the bottle, immediately I shared out my £100, I can always come back and earn another pay slip where as they can not. We may never be able to resolve these wider issues but during our life here we can do our part and help others.
In 2023, I collected money for charity and during my visit to Bangladesh I organised a local water well to be made, the happiness on the people who occupy at the villages made me promise to do this every year, after all it is the least I can do,
