As little by little we seem to start recuperating from the worst global pandemic in modern history, in India, however, the situation keeps on exacerbating.
More than 25 Million cases and 274K deaths due to Covid-19, oxygen and supply shortages, transportation collapses, food scarcity and collective suffering are some of the terrifying yet current situations that the people of India are dealing with.
At the Bandhwari village, a town in the outskirts of New Delhi, we have worked for many years to support and develop the local and economic development of the women in the rural village as well as the education of their sons and daughters.
Our efforts in breaking the cycle of poverty that exists in the rural village must now be extended to supporting them with sanitary supplies, nutrition and basic necessities to help them overcome this current crisis.
Distance doesn't mean distant!
