The current Defibrillator in Ballylanders Village and it's storage box need to be replaced. The local Defibrillator Group are hoping to raise the required money over the next 2 months. Thankfully the Defibrillator is very rarely used but when required early defibrillation has been proven to save the lives of people in Cardiac Arrest. Defibrillators are available in towns and villages throughout the country and Ballylanders is no different. We have a group of volunteers who maintain the device and re-train regularly to be able to respond to somebody having a cardiac arrest until the ambulance arrives. That somebody could be any one of us. I know that I would want the Defibrillator to be used to help me to survive a cardiac arrest. Would you??? Please give generously.
