Helping the Unhomed!

The Gated Community Association is a newly developed non-profit organization that's been established to provide support to the 35+ unhomed individuals residing in Lower Sackville, NS.

The administration and founders of The Gated Community are hosting a sleepover in the middle of the ballfield in November 18, 2023 to raise awareness and pledges in support of the dire situation our unhomed community faces on a daily bases.

We are inviting the members of the government to join us in this sleepover to experience a mere glimpse of what these individuals must endure. No running water, minimal electricity, food insecurity, a lack of basic necessities, and minimal mental health supports to name a few. We encourage them not only to attend the sleepover, but also provide monetary donation in support of our efforts to bridge the gap that our community and organization have worked so diligently to overcome.

All funds raised will be used entirely to support the physical needs of the individuals at the encampment.
