Bali Orphanage & Education- B's 30th Bday Wish

My birthday is just around the corner and this year I'm turning the...BIG 30!!!

For my birthday, I have a special birthday wish - this is to gift to others, in particular I have always wanted to volunteer and give to children who are less fortunate overseas. My wish and goal is to teach in Indonesian schools and an Orphanage – immersing myself in the Bali community and culture. I have been fortunate to travel to Bali 3 times and this time I really want to make a point of difference. Bali has been beautiful a place that always assist me in replenishing my soul through retreat and vacation.

As many of you would know, I have a love and passion for working with children. After 10 years of working in the Early childhood field, I feel it is time to share my expertise and utilise a travel opportunity dedicating my time providing to children who are less fortunate.

I have set this project up to try and get a little more for the children rather than just volunteering my time but by also provide necessary resources. 

On this experience, I will visit schools volunteering my time teaching English, I would also like to provide educational, sustainable resources such as writing and drawing tools, art resources, open ended literacy and numeracy resources/toys. This will enable me to provide education and empowerment to the children and their community with some valuable lessons during my stay and leaving behind some tools/resources that will encourage the community to carry on the educational experiences after I leave.

I will also spend some time visiting orphanages. Each has their own wish list of items they need. Some other items they desperately need are basics like formula, nappies, food , medical supplies and toiletries. Therefore I can purchase some of these products in Bali as well as take some items up with me.

Please help me with my birthday wish to brighten the life of others- the little precious souls. My flights and accommodation are paid for, I’m collecting donations to use towards the purchase of resources for the orphanage children and volunteer program.
