Why I’m Asking for Your Support
Hi, my name is Jamie, and I’m a registered nurse, single parent, and someone who deeply believes in helping others where the need is greatest.
This year, I’m taking a step that’s been on my heart for a long time — volunteering my nursing skills overseas in a less-fortunate community. I’ll be working alongside local health teams to support basic healthcare needs such as first aid, health education, wellness checks, and community support for children and adults who otherwise have very limited access to care.
As a nurse, I see every day how powerful even basic healthcare can be. As a human, I know how life-changing it can be to feel seen, supported, and cared for.
Why This Matters to Me
I’ve worked incredibly hard to get to this point — completing my nursing degree while raising my children on my own, rebuilding my life, and committing myself to growth, service, and purpose.
This volunteering opportunity isn’t a holiday. It’s a chance to:
- Give back using real, practical skills
- Support vulnerable communities in a meaningful way
- Be part of something bigger than myself
I’m funding as much as I can personally, but I’m asking for support to help cover program costs, travel, accommodation, and medical supplies so I can make this trip possible.
How You’ll Be Helping
By supporting this fundraiser, you’re not just helping me get there — you’re helping deliver:
- Health education for children and families
- Basic medical assessments and care
- Compassion, dignity, and human connection
Every contribution, no matter the size, truly makes a difference.
Thank you for believing in this journey and for being part of something that matters.
