Bahamas Relief From Dorian Hurricane
Donation protected
Funding small boats to run hurricane relief supplies quickly to Old Bahama Bay, West End, Bahamas. These harbors have shallow drafts and much debris is expected in previous navigable channels. So small boats bringing supplies is best initial solution until the waterways have been cleared which could take some time. Will pay for fuel, boat stores to make voyage, reasonable charter fees. I am a Massachusetts Maritime Academy graduate, class of 1980 and was formerly an Engineer for Exxon on their ocean going oil tankers. In contact with many of my classmates who are Captains and have boats to help coordinate these mercy mission trips. Our first trip will be on Captain Michael Duley's boat from Jupiter. Mike is also MMA class of 1980.
My goal to to seek and fund small boat owners in South East Florida who wish to make the trip to West End of Bahamas with supplies that I will coordinate from donations picked up in downtown Ft Lauderdale condos and from FIU Sororities in Miami (where my daughter graduated from recently). Your help, however small, will be a big help to people in need in the Bahamas. There, but for the grace of God, go each of us. Let's help.
