In the Wake of Hurricane Dorian, there will be extensive work to provide relief to Abaco and Grand Bahama, as well as housing evacuees for the rebuild period.
Your Donation will go directly to:
- The transportation of volunteer relief workers and supplies to the Recovery Areas
- The maintenance and operating costs of the facilities used on Eleuthera to house families displaced by Dorian
- Direct Financial support for critical materials needed to sustain evacuees

The mission of Bahamas Habitat is to provide direct support to developing and vulnerable communities in the islands by developing partnerships and providing resources to help people recover from disasters and to reach their full potential.
Bahamas Habitat was started in 2007 by flight instructor Steve Merritt, as a volunteer organization for pilots to use their aviation skills for disaster relief in the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Since that time, we have evolved into a multifaceted organization dedicated to humanitarian relief, education, economic development and cross cultural exchange.
