The recent COVID-19 outbreak has left many people confused, scared, and limited to resources. Throughout these challenging times ONZ understands many have been affected by the recent developments.
It is our greatest desire at this time to focus our attention on the older Americans (Senior Community 65+), who are at a higher risk of getting sick during the coronavirus pandemic and have been advised by the CDC to both stock up on supplies and consider taking steps to avoid crowds.
We have witness many individuals flock to supermarkets to buy emergency food and supplies and our elderly community are left behind. Our elderly community also live on a fix social security income and purchasing additional preparation items can set them behind economically adding unnecessary stress into their lives.
This is why ONZ felt it was necessary to act quickly and reached out to 3 reputable nonprofit organizations, Unidos Por La Musica, D'Andre D. Lampkin Foundation, and Lutheran Social Services of Southern California (LSSSC) who already do great mission work in the City of Ontario for our residents and all throughout Southern CA.
Our goal is to raise donations to prepare 500+ care Bags of Love for our Seniors with some bare essentials of survival for the next couple of weeks. This will ease the burden of them having to worry about going to the grocery store exposing themselves of COVID-19 and providing them with some financial relief.
We are asking YOU our community, businesses, friends, family, EVERYONE to open your heart and donate. Every bit helps.
One day we will all be Seniors and we would want someone to help us in a time of need.
