Bags of kindness for asylum seekers

Donation protected
The coronavirus is affecting everyone, including those in hostels where we have many Christadelphian contacts living, waiting to proceed through visa system.

The amount of food available and quality of food has gone down in these hostels - so people are going hungry. The hygiene is also very bad, and with so many people living in crammed quarters - social distancing is very difficult.

We have started putting together bags each week for our contacts - including hygiene items and food items to supplement their diet. An example bag would include: toilet paper, soap, bread, tuna, cheese, beans, noodles, dates and fruit.

The budget for each bag is £10, and we aim to provide 1 bag to each person, each week - while the effects of the coronavirus lock down lasts. The cost of making around 75 bags each week is £750.

We have started this project but need your help to keep it going. Please donate whatever you can - every bit helps! All the contacts at the hostels greatly appreciate the care they have already received through food bags and also the lessons happening each week on zoom. They look forward to being able to meet with us again!

Thanks so much for your love and support at such a difficult time!
