Bags For Santa Barbara
Donation protected
Hello to all! If you haven't heard, Santa Barbara county is experiencing a housing crisis. It has left many out in the cold, either living in their cars or on the side of the road. As we approach closer to Christmas, Santa Barbara has become colder every night that passes by, reaching about 45°F every night.
My goal with this fundraiser is to distribute 100 10°sleeping bags along with two new pairs of wool socks and two COVID-19 masks.
The bags we are looking to buy cost $200 per case of 10. We are looking to buy 100, coming out to roughly $2,000 with about $336 for shipping.
The socks are roughly $80 for 36 pairs, since we are looking to distribute about 200 pairs it would come out to roughly $480 with approximately $140 in shipping.
The masks are roughly $20 per case of 50, therefore it would be approximately $80.
This leaves our fundraising goal at approximately $3,036. Any additional donations will go towards buying protein bars and water bottles to also distribute.
We will also be accepting sleeping bag donations that we will redistribute. If you would like to donate a sleeping bag of your own, make sure it is:
- At least 10° rated
- Free of any holes/damage that could affect performance
