After almost 10 years of infertility, the Baer's are finally able to start IVF in January! I can think of no other two people on this planet that deserve to be parents more than these two. Kailey and Jonathan have spent the last decade serving others around them, and letting their dreams of being parents be put on the back burner.
All this couple does is SERVE others.
Jonathan dedicated two years of his life serving a LDS church mission in Mexico (completely out of his own pocket) prior to meeting Kailey. Shortly after getting married they spent over 5 years moving across the world to Germany while Jonathan was serving in the United States Army., as well as doing tours in Afghanistan.
In Germany Kailey got a job at a local school being a para for special needs children. She grew to love serving these amazing kids and decided to work towards getting her bachelors degree in public health.
After moving back to the states Kailey and Jonathan have settled down in Kennewick WA. Kailey used her love for serving others and now works for a Non- profit agency. She is the program director for a program where she helps less fortunate individuals receive training to find jobs. These people range from disabled (mentally or physically), to homeless, people in recovery, or escaping domestic violence. Jonathan now in the US Army reserves; works as a drill sergeant, as well as volunteering in Kaileys programs, or assisting with her clients. not including all the volunteer work they do for their community and church. As if this couple don't given enough. over the last year they have opened their home, and more importantly their hearts to foster Children. They have given these kids, a safe and loving place to live, with no limits or expectations. Literally opening their hearts to these kids in hopes to make their lives better, even if its not permanent. Disregarding their own emotions and attachments to simply help these kids feel safe and loved.
After a countless years of surgeries, misdiagnosis, medications, testing, and tears they are finally ready to put themselves first and start their family. They won a small grant towards IVF a few months ago, but everything else is completely out of pocket as insurance covers nothing. I am asking you to help give back to this couple, and easy their costs. I know it would mean the world to them to finally put themselves and their family first for a change! Anything at all is appreciated!
