WE HIT OUR FIRST MILESTONE!
Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve reached our initial £1,500 goal in record time! This ensures the venue is officially SECURED. We are now raising our target to £2,000. This "Stretch Goal" will fund our Guerilla Marketing Phase: high-impact window decals at The Department Store and street-level "Gritted Teeth" stickers across Brixton to ensure these 23 artists get the massive audience they deserve. Let’s keep this momentum going!
Help Us Keep Brixton’s Creative Heart Beating
Bad Behaviour is a grassroots Brixton arts collective, and we’re back with a vengeance.
After Covid and work commitments forced us to pause, we’ve returned to find our beloved Brixton almost unrecognizable—overtaken by big corporate businesses, pricing out the creative locals who made this community what it is.
But we’re not giving up. Art should be accessible to all, and that’s exactly what we’re fighting for.
This May, we’re presenting Gritted Teeth—a free exhibition featuring 23 women artists of all ages, backgrounds, and ethnicities at The Department Store Brixton. These artists explore the resilience and endurance women everywhere must summon just to navigate daily life—the true grit required to keep going, gritting their teeth and carrying on through all the nonsense thrown their way.
Women artists are still routinely overlooked in the art world. We’re giving them a platform, as their work deserves to be seen. This is art by women, but for everyone to enjoy and engage with.
The venue is SECURED! But the work is just beginning. Every penny of our new £2,000 stretch goal goes directly into the "Guerilla Marketing" phase—large-format window decals, street posters, and stickers. This is the last push to ensure these artists aren't just exhibiting, but are seen by all of Brixton. Without this final funding, we risk these voices going unheard.
By donating, you’re not just funding an exhibition. You’re helping keep Brixton’s creative, grassroots heart alive and kicking. You’re standing up for accessible art. You’re amplifying voices that deserve to be heard.
Every donation—£5, £10, £50—gets us closer to making this happen.
Help us show that creativity, community, and women’s voices still have a home in Brixton.
