Friends of Stafford House of Yoga, It has been my vision and mission to bring the art of yoga, qi gong and mind body awareness to Stafford County for many years. Owning a yoga studio is not a high profiting business and is a labor of love that pays with stories of hope and inspiration! Since we have opened, Stafford House of Yoga has contributed to many other community causes with our services and donations.
Today we are asking for your help. We are raising money to upgrade our crumbling back deck so that we can hold free karma yoga classes outside along with Qi Gong, Meditation and other arts to the public. We will also create a Meditation Garden, Fire Circle and add a playground for children to play. Practicing outside as a group with nature offers so many benefits to students and reminds them how wonderful the planet is and how important it is to get outside more!
The money we raise is based off estimated costs of material. The labor is being provided by our wonderful volunteers who will infuse their sweat and love into every inch of it! Their knowledge in carpentry and landscaping along with your generous support will make this space a staple in our community.
Our goal is to raise the money within the next 4 weeks so that we can begin offering classes by June 1st, 2016 and before the volunteers go on summer break. Can you help us?
Imagine, helping someone who suffers from PTSD, depression or who was bullied in school to be able to take a free yoga class and let go of that negative feeling, breaking the cycle of pain...even for just an hour.
It's no secret that yoga, meditation, qi gong, and nature help elevate your mood and brings out the best in you! Not to mention a better focus on goals, stronger body and healthier lifestyle! Isn't that what we all want for ourselves and our community? Let’s not wait for someone else to come up with the answer for mental health issues, depression and anxiety! Help us to help others feel empowered and free of the mental stress. Together we can do it! We must be the change!
If we can get 160 people to contribute $50 or more we will meet our goal! In honor of your contribution we will either engrave your name, (or in memory of someone you love), to a plaque that will be posted on our new healing space for students to see for years to come! Will you hlep us?
