Hi, I'm Reilly Johnston, and I'm organizing the 2025 Backyard 5K, a charity event I started in 2020 which has since raised thousands of dollars and brought hundreds of people together to “stride towards good”. I started the Backyard 5K by running laps in my backyard at the onset of the pandemic, with some friends joining me and helping raise money for Feeding America. Since then, we have become a nonprofit and are now raising money for our own community service events and initiatives.

This years race will be held on August 9th on the scenic East Bay Bike Path at 7:00pm, with a post race party at Union Square Bistro. Parking is available at Saint Brendan’s Church, and early registration will begin at 6:00pm.
