Windrush Elderly Annual Christmas Party

Hello, my name is Jacqui Walker. I am a Trustee and Director of Back To Life Liverpool CIC (Companies House reg no: 09278347), a not-for-profit organisation.

We are raising aid on behalf of Back To Life Liverpool because we need some modest financial help.

Every single donation will be of significant assistance. Thank you in advance for contributing to this cause, which means so much to the carers and clients we assist.

Back To Life Liverpool CIC is a community based organisation in Liverpool that supports over 70 elderly adults of the Windrush generation living with dementia and associated conditions ranging from diabetes, mental health issues to cancer. We act as advocates to ensure our elders receive the financial, social and healthcare support to which they are entitled to sustain their day-to-day health and wellbeing. In particular, at a time of higher cost of living, we also provide a warm and safe space with social time, therapeutic activities and a hot meal and the opportunity for the elders to socialise with others, which for many who live alone is the only time they will have meaningful interactions.

We want to continue to support our elders by bringing them together for an annual Christmas party on 20 December 2023. We are therefore asking for donations to fund the catering for this event, to support the cost of transportation for the elders to get them safely to and back from the party, to meet basic volunteer expenses for the day and to fund a small gift for each elder.

In order that we can continue our service we are also seeking donations for our advocacy office rent until April 2024, when funding will be in place.
