Back the Blue of Independece County

Hello! My name is Brook Wilroy Taylor and I am a native of Batesville/Independence County. With all the unrest across the country, a few citizens wanted to organize something on the local level for these selfless individuals who serve us everyday. So we reached out to a few of our friends who are in law enforcement to see what some of their needs/wants are during this trying time. With their input, we decided to form this GoFundMe Campaign to see if we, as a community, could raise enough money to gift each officer in our area with an Rtic cooler to carry with them throughout their work shift. In the heat of the summer, they wanted something to pack water/drinks in at home that would keep them cool throughout their work shift. Also, more Officers are eating meals prepared at home at this time due to COVID19. Achieving this goal will assure our local officers that we have their back, and moreover, that we are thankful for them and the sacrifices they make each and every day. There are approximately 70 officers serving the Independence County area, including the Independence County Sherriffs Department, the Batesville Police Department and the Arkansas State Police at this time. Let’s come together and show our brothers and sisters in law enforcement that love can outweigh hate. For those who choose to donate, we will include a card with your name on it in each cooler.  Please continue to follow this campaign as updates will be posted regarding plans for cooler packing and distribution if you would like to be involved!
