Emergency Help Needed for Injured Cat Found in Salinas (⚠️GRAPHIC IMAGES)

Hi everyone,
We are Cat Guardians TNR & Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to protecting and rescuing cats in need.

This morning, a compassionate rescuer contacted us about an injured tabby cat found in the Cesar Chavez Library parking lot in Salinas. The poor kitty had a BONE VISIBLY EXPOSED, a heartbreaking sight we wish no animal had to endure.

We immediately rushed them to Pet Maintenance & Repair, where we were told the injury is severe and will require a back leg amputation to save their life.

Despite only just meeting this cat today, we knew we had to help.

The vet provided an estimate:
• Low end: $1,269.20
• High end: $2,319.20

As a small rescue running entirely on donations, we simply can’t afford this unexpected emergency surgery, but we also can’t turn our backs when help is needed most.

We’re asking our community, animal lovers, and kind strangers to help us raise funds for this cat’s surgery and recovery. Every donation counts, and if you can’t donate, please share.
