We are reaching out with heavy hearts and hope in our hands.
My sister and her family are in the middle of an incredibly difficult legal battle involving a dependency case. Due to the sensitive nature of the situation, we are unable to share many details publicly—but what we can say is this: they have lovingly cared for a baby girl since she was discharged from the NICU. She knows no other family, no other home. The bond they share is undeniable.
Now, without any clear reason rooted in the baby’s best interests, the county is attempting to move her out of state. The driving force behind this decision appears to be personal bias—a supervising social worker has expressed the belief that my sister's family should not adopt again so soon after adopting two other children from foster care.
We strongly believe that this decision is not about what’s best for the child, but rather the opinion of one individual. With the help of a qualified attorney, we hope to bring the truth to light and give this baby the chance to stay with the only family she has ever known.
Legal representation is costly, and time is not on our side. We are humbly asking for your support to help cover attorney’s fees so that we can fight for this baby’s right to stability, love, and a future with the family she already calls her own.
Any amount helps—whether it’s $10, $100, or simply sharing this campaign with others. We are deeply grateful for your kindness, prayers, and support.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
