IVF Fund for Baby Mullis

Donation protected
Our very close friends, Lex and Ryan Mullis, are two of the most kind-hearted, fun, uplifting, and generous people we’ve ever met. They are constantly taking care of everyone around them, and they’ve been excited and ready to take care of their own children now for years, but are struggling to conceive. Their doctor has advised that they proceed to In Vitro Fertilization, which will cost them at least a whopping $21,000, and they’ve already spent thousands of dollars on other procedures and treatments in attempts to conceive. They would truly be the best parents ever, so we wanted nothing more than to help make their dream of becoming parents a reality. Please consider donating what you can and sharing this link to spread the word!

Here is their story in their own words:

Hello! We are Lex and Ryan, and our story so far has been an unexpectedly difficult one of infertility. However, through the modern-day miracle of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), we have great hope to fill our arms, our home, and our hearts with a baby of our own. As uncomfortable as it is for us to ask anyone for financial assistance and to share our personal struggles so publicly, we know we need your help to make this miracle happen. We are truly so grateful for the support you are willing to give.

About Us
We fell in love and were married five years ago. We both worked hard to complete our Bachelor degrees at Utah Valley University, and we graduated on the same day! Ryan studied Digital Media and is now a Digital Marketer. Lex studied Behavioral Science and is a caseworker for the Division of Child and Family Services in Utah.

We both love music and the performing arts. Church, friends, laughter, love, community outreach, staying healthy—and especially family—are the center of our lives.

Once we found meaningful jobs that can support our family, we purchased our first home with an extra bedroom for our baby. We have spent hours researching the perfect baby names and talking about our hopes and dreams for our future family. We’ve even combined our photos to see what our baby might look like!

Like many newlywed couples, we have excitedly looked forward to expanding our own little family by having children. There was never any question about that, so every decision we’ve made as a couple thus far has laid the foundation for having, raising, and loving children.

What we didn’t plan on was infertility.

Our Infertility Journey
Many couples who struggle with infertility receive a diagnosis explaining why they can't conceive. We've received many different possible diagnoses that have later been overturned. No doctor has been able to discover the root of our infertility. The lack of answers has been so confusing, frustrating, and disheartening.

We’ve been actively trying to conceive for the past four years, during which time we’ve pursued pharmaceutical and homeopathic options. In this past year, we’ve tried multiple Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) cycles and other medical treatments, but none of these have worked for us. Each failed attempt of yet another treatment or procedure has been increasingly devastating and draining. After discussing the few remaining options with our doctor, we’ve decided it’s time to try the procedure that is by far our best chance for conception—IVF.

In Vitro Fertilization is the process of fertilization by manually combining an egg and sperm in a laboratory dish and then transferring the embryo to the uterus. It’s unconventional, complicated, and extremely expensive, but for a couple in our situation, it offers hope . . . hope that is possible to realize our dreams of finally having children.

What You Can Do
We humbly and gratefully invite you to help us (if you can) fulfill our dreams of being parents. Thank you so much for your time, consideration, prayers, donations, and love! We love you!!

P.S. This is Lex. I just want to say that Ryan is going to be the BEST dad ever! I know this because he’s the best husband. He works his hardest at everything he does, and I know this will be no different when it comes to loving and raising children. I see the way he loves and cares for his nieces and nephews and the joy he brings into their lives. I can't wait for him to be able to give the huge amount of love he possesses to his own children!

P.S.S. This is Ryan. Lex was born to be a mom. She has a strong zest for life that is magnified by taking care of and loving children, even when they are not her own. Children fill her with joy. Lex has done and is meant to do great things, and one of those things, I feel, is to have children and give them all the love they deserve. I know she'll be a great mom and will cherish our children forever.
