We are very lucky to be so close to adopting a child of our own. Our process is obviously going to be different than the typical way people have babies.
Here is how it works:
We have been chosen by an expectant mother as the family she wants to parent the baby. We will fly to the state where she lives about a week before the due date and wait for the baby to be born. We will need to stay in that state for at least two weeks after the baby is born while the lawyers and the states clear the way for us to take the baby home.
We are fundraising for the time we will stay. Your donation will help us with breakfasts, lunches and dinners to keep us strong for the baby!
Please give what you can, any amount helps!
We won't have a baby shower but we will plan a "meet the baby party" once we are home.
You can also choose to purchase something from our baby registry. We are registered at BabiesRUs under Sara and D Humphrey.
