We’re Alyssa and Tom!

We met in 2022 at a work conference; a conference that we both considered not going to at the last moment. We felt an instant connection, and spent countless nights staying up until sunrise texting and getting to know each other. A month later, we had our first date (after Alyssa told Tom to ask her out). The rest is seemingly the most beautiful and natural love story there is; two people who just couldn't go back to life without each other, who knew the other was their person.

We are a couple who have built our lives around protecting and caring for others. Every day, we step into our roles in public safety—supporting people during their hardest moments -- simply being a steady presence when someone needs help. These moments remind us of what truly matters: compassion, resilience, and family.

Now, more than anything, we are ready to pour that same love and devotion into welcoming a child into our home.

Adoption

Adoption has always been a dream close to our hearts. As many of you know, Alyssa has battled endometriosis for over a decade—years filled with pain, countless doctors appointments, specialists, procedures, and medications. After trying every option and fighting as hard as she could, she ultimately had to undergo a hysterectomy to improve her quality of life.

We know that family isn’t defined by biology—it’s defined by love, intention, and the deep desire to share your life with a child. It’s defined by presence, patience, and the promise to never give up on someone.

Adoption didn’t become our “Plan B.” It became the path that felt right, the path that felt like home.

We’ve been imagining the sound of little feet in our hallway, bedtime stories, birthday candles, and the quiet moments of holding a child who feels safe, wanted, and deeply loved.

We are ready for all of it. The late-night snuggles, the messy joy, the sleepless nights, the proud tears. We’re ready to give a child a life full of security, laughter, and unconditional love.

The heart of our home is our loving dog, Asha, who cannot wait to become a big furry sibling.

She is gentle, playful, and truly believes every visitor is here just to be his/her new best friend. We know she will bring comfort, joy, and lots of cuddles to a little one.

Why We’re Asking for Help

The adoption journey is beautiful—but it’s also expensive. The reality of agency fees, legal costs, home studies, birth mother expenses, and travel is overwhelming for any family. Domestic Infant Adoption in the United States costs $40,000 to $60,000. As much as we have saved and prepared, we’re humbly reaching out to ask for support.

Every donation—big or small—genuinely brings us closer to meeting the child we’ve hoped for and dreamed about.
