Baby Worsdale Fund

As many of you all know, Britney and Michael Worsdale recently lost their precious baby boy at 22 weeks pregnant.

Britney and Mike (as we all know him) have been trying to conceive for 6 years, and after 4 rounds of IUI (one of which resulted in a miscarriage) they moved on to IVF in the summer of 2017. Britney was lucky enough to get pregnant on their first round, and both Britney and Mike were on top of the world!!

Early on we got to hear Baby W’s heartbeat, we saw him move around on the ultrasounds, and it was finally feeling “real”. This was happening, their dreams of becoming parents was coming true.  Their best friends, Brittany and Steven Lyon went with them to an ultrasound around 19 weeks to find out the gender. The Lyons were told Baby W was indeed a boy (even though we all thought the baby would be a girl) and healthy. They kept that secret for a few weeks, despite pleas from all over the country to know the gender. And on January 26th surrounded by loved ones, Britney and Mike found out they were having a boy!!

After the initial shock wore off, planning began-names, nursery, picking out clothes. But unfortunately, on February 2nd, just one week after their gender reveal, Britney’s water broke and the Worsdales found out their beloved baby would not make it. In fact, Britney was at risk for infection and needed to deliver the baby immediately. Which she did, under possibly the hardest circumstances imaginable (I will spare you the details). Britney nor Mike got to hold their precious baby boy, but they did get a card with the tiniest, most perfect little footprints to remember their son, Brayden Michael Worsdale.

Britney and Michael have handled this situation with grace, and dignity. Britney truly is one of those people who finds some way to smile through the pain and make light in the midst of the darkness. As a couple, this struggle has brought them closer and made them stronger as they help support each other in the best way they know how to get through this together. They have prayed, wept, and prayed some more. They have been surrounded by their families, their friends, and their coworkers. But nothing we can ever do will take away their pain of losing their child at 22 weeks. Nothing. Anyone who knows these two, knows they were born to be parents, and no one deserves this gift more.

Britney and Mike have been so wonderful to share their struggles and their triumphs with us through this whole process. That when they became pregnant, it truly felt like a “we” experience. The Worsdales are humble, kind and loving people and would never dream of asking for help. But now is the time that “we” offer help, and don’t take no for an answer.

This loving couple has put their life savings into fertility treatments, spent everything they could scrape up to make their dreams come true, and we can’t let them stop now. We all believe that Mike and Britney were meant to be parents, and we want to help them continue their journey.

Please donate anything you can to help Mike and Britney cover the cost to continue their IVF journey. They are not in this alone, and now is the time to show them our support, in any way we can.
