Baby Werner (IVF)

My sister Brooke and her husband Mikhail are trying to start their family and it hasn't been the easiest time for them. Brooke was born with Hirschsprung’s disease and had multiple surgeries as a baby and teen. She has recently gone through three major surgeries this year. Two of which were within months of recovering. During her 2nd surgery, the doctors had to remove an ovary and tube because they were so damaged from her surgeries as a child. After that surgery, Brooke ended up back in the ER because her ureter was no longer attached to her bladder. She had to stay in the hospital and have a third surgery to correct the complication. Brooke had to take a total of 2 months off of work to recover from multiple surgeries. They were referred to a reproductive specialist to discuss what their options were to go forward. The doctors told them their only option is IVF since her current ovary has a blocked tube. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover IVF and it is a major unexpected expense.

The Werner's have been trying to get pregnant for about 2 years now and would like to someday become parents. Let's help out the Werner's with their IVF journey!
