Baby Wenn’s Journey

Hello and thank you for visiting our fundraising page and reading our story :)

We are setting up this account to try and raise some money to support our journey to becoming parents to our little girl.

Unfortunately, we found out at our 20 week scan that our baby has a major heart defect called TGA (Transposition of the greater arteries). This will require open heart surgery as soon as she is born and a long hospital stay in the NICU at Bristol.

We have already spent a lot of time at Bristol Hospital due to various appointments and emergencies and due to covid restrictions, my partner was unable to stay with me. Finding accommodation for him has been tricky to finance alongside the ridiculous cost of fuel at the moment.

We are hoping to raise a little money to support our visits to Bristol, plus the accommodation once we are there before our daughter is born. Once she arrives we can request accommodation from different charities such as Cots for Tots, but unfortunately there is no guarantee they will have a bed when we need one due to limited availability.

It feels so wrong asking for help during such difficult times when everyone is absolutely stretched to the limit and we can’t thank everyone enough for the love and support that we have received.

Our little lady has been such a fighter so far and knowing the hardest part is still to come is extremely difficult to process.

We are trying to focus on the positives, appreciate every precious moment and celebrate each little milestone.
