Hello Family and Friends!

I can't believe that we're pregnant and about to welcome our first child in just a few months. Every day we are reminded of it with the baby's kicks and my growing belly. It's such a blessing from God and we're so happy we get to share this next chapter in our lives with all of you. I know our baby will be loved by you and it brings such peace and happiness to our hearts.

We thought a lot about how we wanted to bring baby Varela into this world and have decided to go with a home birth instead of the traditional way; hospital delivery.

We weighed these two options heavily. But the ultimate decision maker was based on our bad experience with our former OBGYN. It was an extremely stressful situation. Therefore, we have decided to hire a midwife and doula to give birth naturally from the comfort of our own home.

We'll now get to enjoy the rest of this pregnancy and look forward to bonding with our baby on a deeper level when he or she arrives. We're nervous but more excited than ANYTHING ELSE!

*OUR NEEDS*

Unfortunately, we will have to pay out of pocket since our insurance does not cover this expense. That's why we wanted to reach out for your help.

Our midwife and doula will cost around $10,000. That being said, you can contribute what you can.

Because this is our priority and we are asking this of you, we are not expecting any baby gifts and will not have a baby shower.

We still hope to see you all so that we can celebrate and just spend quality time together soon.

We want to give you enough time to contribute so we will keep this campaign open until May 2024. Just in time for baby Varela's arrival!

*NUESTRA HISTORIA*

Hola Familia y Amigos!

No puedo creer que estoy embarazada y a punto de dar a luz a nuestro primer hijo en tan solo unos meses. Todos los días nos recordamos cuando las patadas del bebé empiezan y con mi barriga en crecimiento. Es una gran bendición de Dios y estamos muy felices de poder compartir este próximo capítulo de nuestras vidas con todos ustedes. Sabemos que amarás a nuestro bebé y eso nos trae tanta paz y felicidad a nuestros corazones.

Pensamos mucho en cómo queríamos traer al bebé Varela a este mundo y decidimos optar por un parto en casa en lugar de la forma tradicional; parto hospitalario.

Sopesamos mucho estas dos opciones. Pero la decisión final se basó en nuestra mala experiencia con nuestro ex obstetra y ginecólogo. Fue una situación extremadamente estresante. Por eso, hemos decidido contratar una matrona y una doula para que yo pueda dar a luz de forma natural desde la comodidad de nuestra propia casa.

Ahora podremos disfrutar el resto de este embarazo y esperamos establecer un vínculo más profundo con nuestro bebé cuando llegue. ¡Estamos nerviosos pero más emocionados que CUALQUIER OTRA COSA!

*NUESTRAS NECESIDADES*

Lamentablemente tendremos que pagar de nuestro bolsillo ya que nuestro seguro no va a cubrir este gasto. Es por eso que queríamos pedir por su ayuda.

Nuestra partera y doula costarán alrededor de $10,000. Habiendo dicho esto, puedes contribuir lo que puedas.

Debido a que esta es nuestra prioridad y sabemos lo estamos pidiendo de ustedes, no esperamos ningún regalo para el bebé y no tendremos un baby shower.

Todavía esperamos verlos a todos para que podamos celebrar y pasar tiempo de calidad juntos pronto.
