3 month old Valerie has spent most of her short life in the Neonatal ICU. After a healthy full-term pregnancy, Valerie’s parents were shocked to hear that she would need her large (and a portion of her small) intestine removed at only 2 weeks old. This news came shortly after the unexpected diagnosis of a rare condition called Hirschsprung’s disease.
After 4 surgeries, a battle with sepsis, and now an infant Ostomy bag, Valerie’s parents are in need of support as they continue to navigate her journey.
With Valerie’s extended stay in the NICU, her mom has had to take time off from work, and it has become a monumental struggle to make ends meet on one income.
Right now, Valerie’s father commutes nearly 2 hours each way during the week, and her parents are asking for help with anything one could provide. Money to help with meals, gas, lodging, and even medical bills are appreciated to ease the stress of this emotional situation.
While Valerie continues to fight, her journey is far from over. Her family thanks everyone for the endless prayers and support.
If you are unable to donate, please please send a prayer!♥️
