Support Baby Sea Turtles & the marine ecosystem

Hi my name is James,

I am looking to raise funds towards the costs of volunteering for ARCHELON - the sea turtle protection society of Greece:

The volunteering will take place at the beach project in Chania, Crete, and lasts for approximately seven weeks. I have already been accepted and have a reserved place for this summer August/September.

Volunteering contributes directly to the protection of sea turtles and their habitats. Volunteers play a crucial role in monitoring nesting beaches, ensuring the survival of nests and hatchlings, monitoring sea turtle populations, rescuing and taking care of injured turtles, undertaking beach patrols at first and last light and raise public awareness of the delicate habitats that are being eroded by tourism and pollution.

I am someone who enjoys the outdoors with an interest in wild camping, rewilding and hill walking, the natural environment is important to me and I am keen to give something back.

So i am looking to volunteer my time in support of a charity who care for our planet, who tackle issues such as single use plastic, while they protect sea turtles who are very important (and amazing) and deserve our help, not to survive, but to flourish in our oceans.

Volunteers live together in a communal camp, so day to day expenses are low, however the other costs which follow are were I am looking for your assistance:
