Baby R’s Story
Caitlin and John met back in 2016 and knew almost instantaneously that they would spend the rest of their lives together. They quickly began dreaming about their futures together - a house full of dogs and little ones at the top of the list. Their wedding was picture perfect, their house the perfect place for them, and they added their pups Crosby & Tucker to their family. Everything was falling into place but something was missing. Month after month, negative pregnancy tests stared back at them and their house seemed too quiet.
Upon going to be seen, Caitlin was diagnosed with both PCOS and Hashimotos Disease. Both of which were contributing to their inability to get pregnant. Fast forward through many months of many prescriptions, supplements, shots, blood draws, doctor visits, and constant waiting... still no baby R. Both John and Caitlin were struggling to grasp their heads around all of this, especially when their OB told them IVF or IUI would be the only way and there was truly no guarantee that those expensive procedures would bring a baby into their lives.
They agreed to switch gears and began their foster care journey in hopes that one day, a little one would be able to join their family permanently. They obtained their license and learned so much during their training but little did they know, God was working in mysterious ways while they poured their hearts into their foster care journey.
Caitlin received a call from a good friend who knew a birth mother who was looking for an adoptive family for the baby she was carrying. In a whirlwind month, Caitlin and John met her, heard her amazing story and became fast friends. Caitlin recently visited birth mom for an ultrasound; baby R is already 28 weeks along and is absolutely beautiful. P.S. She’s a sweet baby girl! She will be arriving mid-July so they have very little time to prepare for her arrival.
They hired an amazing legal team and began the process of bringing their baby girl home. The process of adopting is daunting and very expensive. They had no idea how much this would impact them financially but knew they would make it happen to finally become the parents they have longed to be. Caitlin and John need our help to pay their legal fees, home study costs, travel costs, and much more. Please support them however you are able- donate financially, share their story, send baby necessities their way, or keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they embark on the journey of a lifetime.
