Corey and Jenise, two dear friends of mine, who I instantly felt a connection with when I learned that Jenise was on the same fertility meds as me, and we were both hoping to conceive.
Throughout the years, we stayed friends with the Roaches. Like many of you reading this, we prayed for them and followed their journey of failed attempts, and heart wrenching medical diagnosis.
After 14 years of trying to have a baby, Corey and Jenises’ path led them to IVF in 2018. They would have to travel from Portland to Seattle for every single appointment. For ultrasounds, extraction, implantation, blood tests etc.
Over the last two years the two of them would experience the ups and downs that come with infertility and IVF. Jenise and Corey conceived two times! Their dreams were at their fingertips only to be out of their reach when both pregnancies ended in miscarriages. As you can imagine, this is the most shocking and devastating news a couple going through IVF could receive.
It’s only with God they have gotten through these dark times and STILL HAVE HOPE, never letting go of their hearts’ deepest desire to have children.
Corey says, “[Jenise and I] celebrate the strength we have developed in having gone through all we have together. In all our circumstances, not once have we blamed one another for the pain we’ve experienced or why we are childless. Instead we focus on the success of our marriage and the desire to still hold our baby 1 day and raise our children.... we hope our story inspires someone out there to not give up.”
Corey and Jenise have chose to try to have a family through IVF one last time. They’re not defeated!!! I ask that we do what we are all called to do, to LOVE. Let’s surround them with encouragement and hope. Let’s lift them up in prayer! Let’s contribute to their journey and fill their cup up!

I am asking for a goal of 35,000. This would cover all procedures plus traveling and staying in Seattle when needed for doctor appointments.
If there are any funds left over after IVF, they will go towards exploring a different route through adoption.
