Donation protected
On December 15th Baby Richard had a cough. Little did we know that cough would manifest into 4 ER visits, 2 Hospital stays (including Christmas and upcoming NYE), 1 Helicopter Ride, 1 Chest Tube Surgery, and 14 days and counting in the hospital.
While we do have good insurance unfortunately the clock starts over on 1/1 which means we have to meet our out of pocket maximum twice for his journey. We've estimated this will cost us around $6000 in just out of pocket maximum costs.
I never thought I'd be a candidate to be starting a Go Fund Me page, especially for a case like this. We do have savings but after running the math with the insurance companies and with me having to take medical leave, any contribution will help us start 2020 off a little easier and hopefully A LOT healthier.
Money was no object in this situation when we considered Richard's life. We continue to be forever grateful for the friends and family that have supported us in this wild turn of events.
**NOTE we are ONLY using donations for Baby Richard's medical expenses, if by any chance we've over estimated anything and more is covered than we need, we will be donating any "extra" to Children's Hospital Los Angeles vs profiting.
