Dearest, friends & family,
As most of you know, adopting via the foster system has always been, and still is, a plan for us and part of our story. However, recently, our story has taken a beautiful and unexpected turn. A friend of mine from school reached out to me a few weeks ago and asked us the most special question of our lives. She asked if we would have the honor of adopting and raising her precious baby boy. Brady and I were so honored, we immediately felt compelled to be this boy's parents. Adopting a newborn was the perfect and most unplanned twist of this year! We are still in awe that his bio mother would even consider reaching out personally to ask us, and will be eternally grateful for this.
Part of adopting a newborn via an agency involves lawyer fees, transportation costs, and more. Although we are in a place of financial stability, we only have a few months to pay the entire amount owed. In an attempt to navigate these costs, we will be doing some local fundraising, in addition to creating this GoFundMe. We wanted to reach out to our family & friends, in the hopes we might be able to offset some of these costs. If you do choose to donate, please know that it means the absolute world to us, and we will be forever grateful for your help in bringing Baby Reed home. No matter if it's even $5, that allows us to be one step closer to our goal. Small amounts can help us significantly. If you are not in a place to donate financially, please at least keep our family and bio mom in your prayers throughout this journey, as there will be many emotionally challenging moments to endure.
