Baby Rayston: 14oz of Hope and Strength
Donation protected
On March 5th, 2025, we brought the most perfect 14oz baby into this world unexpectedly. I was 25 weeks and 6 days along. I was hospitalized, thinking I was having severe gallbladder pain, which I was, but that was not the only thing going on. That night, things got a lot more serious. My blood pressure wouldn’t come down from stroke and seizure levels, and our baby Rayston’s heart rate was steadily dropping. So we delivered our sweet boy via emergency C-section 15 weeks early. Rayston was born at 14oz and 11 inches long. He is in UAMS in Little Rock in the NICU, 3 hours away from where we live. He has been there 8 weeks so far, and we are looking at, at the least, another 6 weeks. Rayston’s lungs are weak right now, but our baby is such a fighter. He has pneumonia at the moment and has started a new round of antibiotics, but he may need us there more often for now.
We really didn’t want to have to ask for help, but even if you cannot donate, just a prayer would mean so much! Thank you so much to everyone that has already helped and reached out!! We are so blessed
