Baby Phelps - IVF Journey

Infertility is not something anyone ever thinks will happen to them, and certainly not something anyone plans for. Two of my very best friends, Kelly and Matt, met in kindergarten…yes, kindergarten!!…and grew up together!! They reconnected several years after high school and fell in love, then married in 2012! They have quietly been trying to have a baby of their own since 2018, and have finally come to the very sad realization that it’s just not something they will be able to do without the help of IVF. So here in starts their journey, but the financial burden to get started with IVF has devastated this absolutely amazing couple and made it feel impossible for them to even fully pursue IVF as an option. Medication alone will be upwards of $4000, which insurance does not cover. The projected services are $6000, which they do plan to finance but that is a heavy burden as well when trying to start a family! Although IVF is not a guarantee to having a baby, the chances are significantly higher and puts their dream within potential reach.

People who know Kelly and Matt know that they are not great at asking for help.
