I would like you to meet our daughter Olivia Faith Perez. She was born on Monday, February 14, 2022 at the MUSC Children’s Hospital in Charleston SC. She was born via emergency C-Section with an enormous mass or growth on her heart. We did not know this until the last ultrasound was taken on Feb 12, 2022. Two days later they did an MRI, a whole team of doctors and surgeons had multiple meetings and kept changing the plans as more experts were brought in. Two more days after that the end prognosis finally came.
The Pedia cardiologists came into our room to give us the result. Basically, he told us she was most likely not going to survive birth due to the minuscule amount of lung tissue she had grown. Also the shear size of the growth itself is bearing down on her lungs and heart. Her chances were well below 50%, and if she did survived she would have to be put on an ECMO machine right away. The machine would support her life while giving the doctors time plan and react accordingly. By a full miracle of Yah (God) she survived! Olivia is a fighter, and is fighting for her life! She needs all the faith and prayers possibly afforded to her.

Olivia is still in the NICU in Charleston and being monitored closely. She is in stable but moderate condition, the surgeons still haven’t figured out what would be the best option for her. She cannot survive with this growth in tact. They may be forced to do a debulking surgery, which is highly risky. The growth is also precariously placed and is a big challenge for the surgical team.
With all of what’s going on, and having less money coming in during this time, we would like to ask for a little help. Prayers and any dollar amount would really help a lot. Not for us but for her…Baby Olivia. She is 2 weeks old today (2/28/2022) and fighting to stay alive! Thanks, and God bless you.
Help keep the miracles coming!
